The First Word of the Gospel – Video

Posted by on Saturday, 28 August, 2010

Chris White from Nowhere To Run compiled this sermon from David Guzik on the First Word of the Gospel.  Guzik, as many preachers before him, have re-connected missing aspect of today’s gospel preaching.  If you leave repentance out of your evangelism, you are simply ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I am not typically a fan of Christ being represented in art, however I think this is a video worth posting.

I pray that God would send another revival to our generation similar to this, yet new in His end-time purposes.

And they Crucified Him, Art Katz – Video

Posted by on Friday, 1 January, 2010

Ohhhh the desire to live a crucified life…may God wake us up to this truth as if we were waking from a dream of death into a world of life and true color.  For the life uncrucified is not a life raised into true life, but only a paltry shadow of wraith-like existence.  May God grant his church more men and women of this life.  Thank you Bravehearted Gospel and Art Katz Ministries for this clip.  This is one sermon everyone needs to listen to.

Ten Shekels and a Shirt – Paris Reidhead, Video Excerpt

This is just a portion of the sermon of  the century.  If you have not heard this yet…you need to listen to the whole thing.  However I though this was a great snippet from the sermon.  God save us from flesh ran ministries.  God save us from ourselves.  I have nothing to add to this message, I can only pass on what I think needs to be heard and heeded.

Don’t Waste Your Life, John Piper (Video)

When Jesus taught us to pray that His Kingdom would come and His Fathers will be done in earth as it is in heaven, Jesus was not making a pious, pseudo religious statement.  He was actually dramatically flipping common prayer on its head.  This is an upside down, backwards from human, mentality.  It is far more natural for me to pray that God would submit to the wants and needs of my kingdoms.   One of the only hopes I have of being an overcomer in deed is to have this pilgrim mindset.  All my efforts need to be the result of a heart that cries, weeps, pleads, and yearns for the coming of the Kingdom of Christ and this is not a yearning for my benefit by the way, the yearning is for His sake, rather than mine.  I want this kingdom in two ways…I want the kingdom to come into the hearts of the dead, that they may be raised into the life which is Christ, and I want the physical reign of my Lord more than any other thing.  I am posting this video because, once again, Pastor Piper says so well what ought to be said to those of us who have maintained that materialism is somehow Christian.  We do this through very many incorrect associations.  Associations which I hope to write about some day.

Grant us Lord, as your children the desire to pray this along with the saints of old, and may our praying for it change our hearts that we may live like we believe it, not wasting our lives on those things which perish…but hastening the day of your return, but living as if eternity were NOW!

An Axe is Laid at the Base of a Heavy Tree

We endorse this message with all of our hearts.  All true Bereans should.  For within this message is the heart of Christ.  And the heart of Christ is trampled under the foot of men when his heart-rending sacrifice is turned into debauchery.  Knowing the grace of God, I pray His people would repent and He would forgive us, I pray that God raises a generation of young men and women who are willing to contend for the faith, rather than rolling over and letting this misrepresentation continue.  Please consider the heart of what Pastor John Piper is saying here.   With a sword in one hand, and a trowel in the other, Pastor John defends the faith and builds upon Paul’s foundation well.   My prayer is that this will inspire and bless you at the same time.  Praise God for the people who put this video together.

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, (debauchery) and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

-Jude 1:4

Run for your life…(Video)

It is phenomenal how God can use tragedy to bring forth fruit that brings life.  Pastor Carter Conlon managed to see the courage of the firefighters on 9/11 as an example we should follow. This is truly an inspirational exhortation, please consider it prayerfully.

Agony by Leonard Ravenhill (Video Excerpt)

Posted by on Sunday, 2 August, 2009

This video and the perspective of Leonard Ravenhill is one of the most influential things ever in my life.  Truely he was a man whom I could follow as he followed Christ.

Oh, that there would be more preachers like this man…they would be a terror upon idolitrous territory.  Oh that we would heed this message.  For the gospel is truely a bloody one, it is one of sacrifice…Pauls authority in the church were the marks he bore for his Lord…

What have we done?  Truely we need to repent, turn to God and ask Him to make us the ecclesia…the called out ones.

Come and He will set you free (Video, Paris Reidhead)

Without giving away the story I can honestly say this analogy is a cry of my heart.  I want nothing more than to be Christ’s slave.  He is so worthy of our worship, so worthy of our every moment in life.  Because Christ served the Father in every way, so ought we serve Him.  This is not a calling reserved for the ministers…the pastors…the evangelists…this is a call to the individual in the body of Christ.  Please prayerfully consider.

- Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ…

Jude 1:1

-I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

-Romans 6:19

-For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

-Galations 1:10

-For we preach not ourselves,  but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake.

-2 Corinthians 4:5

-Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ…

-Philippians 1:1
